What I love right now

What I love about David at 26 months old:
1. He sings “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” “ABC Song,” and “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
2. He loves backhoes, tractors and trains. When he eats he pretends to be a backhoe and dumps food into his mouth and says “dump!” His favorite books have pictures of construction vehicles, trains, or cars.
3. He just learned how to jump with both feet. He likes to hang the jump rope around his neck and jump in place.
4. David likes to count to twenty, almost pronouncing the numbers correctly.
5. He loves popping bubbles.
6. Whenever he wants some food (crackers, cheese, grapes, pieces of candy, etc.) he requests “five.”
7. David is starting to repeat words of prayers each night before he goes to bed.
8. He likes waving bye to Daddy as he goes to work each morning. He loves to hide under blankets and play hide when Steve walks in the door.

What I love about Spencer at almost 9 months old:
1. He loves to giggle. When he laughs his tummy shakes like a “bowl full of jelly” and his dimples shine.
2. Spencer likes to cuddle and will lay his head on your shoulder.
3. He loves water and taking baths. While laughing, he kicks the water with gusto.
4. He has a strong grip and still loves to hold onto my fingers when he’s being rocked asleep.
5. Spencer is content to sit and play with some toys scattered around him. He reaches as far as he can to grab something interesting. He’s just started protesting when David takes away a toy he’s been chewing on.
6. Spencer loves to chew on anything. He loves to eat anything I serve him too.
7. I love his rolly, polly thighs and chubby cheeks. He wears the same size diapers as David (size 4) and is in many 18 month clothes.
8. Spencer has beautiful blue eyes.

Spencer loves David. David loves Spencer. David is starting to explain life to Spencer, pointing and naming objects that he knows. It’s fun to see their excitement when the other one wakes up from a nap. It’s fun to see them make each other laugh.
