Easter Weekend

Aunt Lisa and Uncle Eric drove from Utah to visit us over Easter weekend, April 2-4th.  Saturday they hid plastic Easter eggs in our backyard for David and Spencer.  Spencer's eggs were out in the open so he could find them quickly.  He thought swinging the basket with an egg inside was just as much fun.

"I think I'd rather play with the sandbox toys than look for eggs."
David was really good to share his eggs with Spencer.  Inside each egg was one jelly bean!
Lisa and Eric gave the boys bubbles!!
Saturday evening we colored Easter eggs.  Steve taught David the technicalities of decorating an egg.  Spencer enjoyed watching the dye fizzle in the vinegar.
Eric's egg won the contest for most colorful egg.  In his honor, we ate his rainbow work-of-art egg very last.
"Did you know that if you press hard enough, your thumb can go right through a hard-boiled egg?"

David did a great job conducting the Mormon Tabernacle Choir during General Conference.  He always has to stand on his stool and hold some sort of stick for a baton.
In between sessions of General Conference on Sunday we went to the Mesa Temple Visitors Center.  The flowers and temple grounds are always beautiful at Easter.
We enjoyed listening to the General Authorities during Easter.  It reminds us of the living reality of our Savior Jesus Christ and that He has restored His Church today.  It was wonderful having Lisa and Eric with us for Easter and General Conference!  We hope they will visit us again soon.

Sounds like the perfect Easter. Fun to see Lisa and Eric there, too. The temple is beautiful.
