Anna Alta Easthope

On October 31, 2010, we welcomed to the world our first daughter, Anna Alta Easthope. She was born at 9:48 AM, weighed 9 lbs and was 22 inches long. The birth took place at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ. We left for the hospital at about 4:00 AM and made it in time so Melanie could get an epidural. Everything went perfectly, as an answer to many prayers. Grandma Burgess, David and Spencer met Anna for the first time Sunday afternoon. We are so grateful our "little Halloween pumpkin" is here. Below are some photos:

We know Anna is a special baby and child of God. She has a wonderful heritage and is named after her great-grandmothers. This poem reminds us of her divine origins.
Intimations of Immortality by William Wordsworth
Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life’s Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from afar:
Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness,
But trailing clouds of Glory do we come
From God, who is our home.

Congratulations Melanie! Girls are so much fun--even the dryer lint from their laundry is sparkly. (Maybe that's just cause I have so many girls. Every week I have to do a pink load.)
